Water Treatment

Rotary Screen

Technology Overview

• A rotary bar screen is designed to remove debris trapped between the bar gaps of the main screen by following the water flow.
• When debris is caught between the bars, four sets of rotating rakes continuously engage and lift the debris upward along the screen.

• As the rakes reach the top position, the lifted debris is discharged by reversing the chain direction or by a gravity drop mechanism, allowing the debris to be separated and removed efficiently.

• This continuous process protects submersible pumps installed upstream by preventing clogging and overload, ensuring stable and uninterrupted operation of the pumping system.

Features

• During operation, if debris becomes lodged in the screen, the elastic structure at the rear of the rake allows individual rotation, preventing damage to the drive system and equipment
• The movable fore screen structure secures working space and allows flexible arrangement according to site conditions, making it easy to remove sediment and debris accumulated beneath the bar screen
• Application of proprietary technology enables partial replacement of rakes and fore screens in case of damage, significantly improving maintenance efficiency
• Supports remote automatic control and monitoring via PC or smartphone
